Makeup artist and skin care specialist Nikoletta Skarlatos first fell in love with her art form as a child in Greece. Over the past twenty years she has collaborated with the top design houses of Chanel and Estee Lauder, as well as with some of the world’s most acclaimed filmmakers and internationally renowned photographers.

Nikoletta applies her passion and knowledge in the design and creation of richly cinematic characters as well as applying her extensive knowledge to help her celebrity clientele achieve radiant beauty and health.

Nikoletta lectures globally about biodynamic skin care and nontoxic alternatives in the makeup industry. Her own biodynamic skin care line will be launching soon!

Inspired by Old Hollywood Glamour, Julie Hewett developed the perfect matte red lipsticks for authenticity and beauty’s sake on the film Pearl Harbor. Since then, her lipsticks have been featured worldwide and in a plethora of the top films of Hollywood on many beloved actors. As a makeup designer and makeup artist, I can say with complete conviction that Julie’s red lipsticks are simply the best in the world!

Julie’s Noir series lipsticks emulate the Old Hollywood Glamour to a T: they are full-bodied, sensual, rich in color and texture and long lasting. They all have matching lip pencils. They can be mixed: see picture here of a makeup I did with Freida Pinto for Blackbook magazine; her lips are a combination of Femme Rouge and Rouge Noir mixed for the perfect red to accent Freida’s skin tone…a huge hit! And simply gorgeous on Freida!

I particularly love the original set of 6 that JHLA sells in the hatbox packaging…simply timeless and fabulous. The notion that only certain women can wear red lipstick is simply false, and the Noir series provides a color for every woman, which is refreshing and exciting! It is wonderful as an artist to transform a woman’s face with one application of red lipstick…very little else is needed as the richness of the individual red brings the entire face to life. It should also be noted that Julie’s lipsticks contain camellia oil, which helps maintain lip hydration, thus giving a beautiful matte look while moisturizing the lips…another fabulous ingredient of her secret sauce!
